If you don't agree with the changes, you must stop using the service. However, changes will not apply retroactively to your existing paid access period.
3.3 Current Access Period
If you have already paid for access (e.g., Academic Year Access), changes to Terms will not affect your current access period. The Terms in effect when you paid will continue to apply until your access period ends.

- Educational best practices
Important: See Section 11 for important information about AI-generated content and its limitations.
4.4 No Guarantee of Service Availability
While we aim to provide continuous access, we do not guarantee:
- That the service will be available 100% of the time
- That the service will be error-free or uninterrupted
- That all content will be available at all times
- That the service will meet your specific educational needs
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice. See Section 15 for limitations of liability.
5.1 Account Creation
To use RevisionDesk (including the free tier), you must create an account by providing:
- A valid email address

- Your date of birth
All information must be accurate, current, and complete.
5.2 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
- All activities that occur under your account

Security requirements:
- Choose a strong, unique password
- Don't share your password with anyone
- Don't let others use your account

5.3 Account Sharing is Prohibited
Your account is personal to you. You may not:
- Share your login credentials with others
- Allow others to access your account
- Create an account on behalf of someone else

Violation of this may result in immediate account termination without refund.
5.4 One Account Per Person
You may only create one account. Creating multiple accounts (except with our written permission) may result in all accounts being terminated.
5.5 Account Information Updates
You must keep your account information up to date. You can update your information in your Account Settings.
6.1 Pricing
Current pricing (subject to change for new purchases):
| Plan | Price | What You Get |
|---|
| Final Sprint Access | £29.00 | Available to purchase 1 April - 30 June only. Full access until 31 August of that year. |
| Academic Year Access | £49.00 | Available to purchase year-round. Full access until the next 31 August, or, if purchased between 1 July and 31 August, until 31 August of the following year. |
All prices are in British Pounds (GBP) and include VAT where applicable.
6.2 One-Time Payment Model
Important: RevisionDesk uses a one-time payment model, NOT a subscription.
This means:
- You pay once for a fixed period of access (Academic Year Access or Final Sprint Access, see Section 6.1)
- Your access does NOT automatically renew
- You will NOT be charged again unless you make a new purchase
- When your access period ends, you will need to purchase access again if you want to continue
We will NOT:
- Store your payment card details for future charges
- Automatically charge you when your access expires
- Require you to cancel anything
6.3 Payment Processing
Payments are processed by Stripe, a secure third-party payment processor.
We do NOT:
- See your full card details
- Store your card details
- Have access to your payment information
When you make a payment, you will be redirected to Stripe's secure checkout. Your payment information is handled entirely by Stripe according to their security standards.
6.4 Payment Confirmation
Once payment is successful:
- You will receive email confirmation
- If you paid for your own account, it will be upgraded to paid access immediately and your access period begins straight away
- If you bought a code for a child (see Section 7.7), paid access begins when your child redeems the code
- Your access ends on the date set out in Section 6.5
6.5 Access Period
Your access begins: Immediately upon successful payment or, for a code bought for a child, when the code is redeemed
Your access ends:
- Academic Year Access: 31 August after your access begins. If your access begins between 1 July and 31 August, it runs until 31 August of the following year.
- Final Sprint Access: 31 August of the year you buy it.
Codes bought for a child must be redeemed within 12 months of purchase.
After your access expires:
- You will revert to free tier access
- Your progress data will be retained for 12 months
- You can purchase new access at any time
- Your previous progress will be restored if you purchase access again within 12 months
6.6 No Pro-Rating
If you buy new access (or redeem a code) while you still have paid access, your access runs until whichever end date is later: your current one or the new one. Access periods are not added together, and no partial refund is given for any overlap.
Example:
- You buy Academic Year Access in March, which runs until 31 August
- In July, you buy Academic Year Access again
- Your access now runs until 31 August of the following year. The time left from July to 31 August is not added on top
6.7 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. However:
- Price changes only apply to new purchases
- Your current paid access period is not affected by price changes
- We will notify users of significant price changes before they take effect
6.8 Taxes
Prices include VAT where applicable. You are responsible for any other taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction.
7.1 UK Consumer Rights
Important legal information: Under UK law (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013), when you purchase digital content online, you normally have a 14-day "cooling-off period" to cancel and receive a full refund.
However, you can choose to waive (give up) this right if you want immediate access to the service.
7.2 Waiver of Cancellation Rights
At the point of purchase, you will be asked to:
- Confirm you want immediate access to RevisionDesk
- Acknowledge that by accessing the service immediately, you are giving up your 14-day cancellation right
- Agree that this means you cannot get a refund once you start using the service
This is done by ticking a checkbox that says something like:
"I want immediate access to RevisionDesk and I understand that I am giving up my 14-day cancellation right. Once I start using the service, I cannot get a refund."
By ticking this box and completing payment:
- You explicitly request immediate performance of the service
- You acknowledge that we will begin providing the service immediately
- You acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel once you start accessing the paid content
- You agree that no refunds will be provided after you begin using the service
7.3 Refund Policy
Once you have accessed paid content, no refunds will be provided.
"Accessed paid content" means:
- Logging into your account after upgrading to paid access
- Viewing any quizzes, explanations, or materials only available to paid users
- Using any paid features of the service
Refunds may be provided if:
- You have NOT accessed any paid content
- There was a technical error that prevented you from accessing the service
- We terminate your account in error
- Required by law
7.4 No Partial Refunds
We do not provide partial or pro-rated refunds if you:
- Stop using the service before your access period ends
- Purchase academic year access but only use it for a few months
- Decide the service doesn't meet your needs after using it
- Find alternative study materials
Your access period is the access period you paid for, regardless of actual usage.
7.5 Payment Disputes
If you dispute a payment with your bank or payment provider:
- Your account will be immediately suspended
- You will lose access to all paid features
- We reserve the right to pursue recovery of the disputed amount
- Your account will only be reinstated once the dispute is resolved in our favor
7.6 Failed or Incomplete Payments
If payment fails or is declined:
- You will not be granted paid access
- Your account will remain on the free tier
- You may attempt payment again
We are not responsible for payments that fail due to:
- Insufficient funds
- Expired payment cards
- Bank declines
- Payment processor errors
7.7 Gift Vouchers (Purchased on Behalf of a Child)
If you buy a redemption code for a child rather than paying for your own account, no service has been rendered to you at the point of payment — the code has not yet been used, and you are not asked to waive your cancellation right during this purchase.
This means:
- Your purchase of an unredeemed code is covered by the standard 14-day cooling-off period described in Section 7.1, in full
- If the code is redeemed by your child within that 14-day window, your right to cancel ends at that point, since the service has then begun being provided
- Once a code has been redeemed, the refund rules in Sections 7.3 and 7.4 apply to that access in the same way as any other purchase
To request a refund for an unredeemed or expired code, contact us using the details in Section 20.
7.8 30-Day Guarantee on Offer Passes
Some offers we sell to parents come with a 30-day guarantee. If the offer you bought says it includes this guarantee, the guarantee replaces the 14-day period in Section 7.7 with a longer one:
- If your child has not registered and logged in with your code within 30 days of your purchase, you can ask for a full refund. No questions asked.
- Your child redeems the code by registering and logging in. Once the code has been redeemed, the guarantee's condition has been met and the guarantee ends. From then on, the refund rules in Sections 7.3 and 7.4 apply, as with any other purchase.
- To claim, contact us within 30 days of your purchase using the details in Section 20. We will check that the code has not been redeemed, then refund the full amount to your original payment method.
- You don't need to return the ebook or anything else included with the offer that you have already received.
This guarantee is in addition to your legal rights and does not reduce them.
8.1 License to Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use RevisionDesk for your personal educational purposes only.
